Scholar Sees Biblical Proof In Ancient Wall
Searching For Biblical Evidence
According to a recent news report obtained by real-time GPS tracking and vehicle tracking system company Tracking System Direct, an Israeli archaeologist announced this week that ancient fortifications recently excavated in Jerusalem date back to 3,000 years around the time King Solomon was believed to rule the land, giving support to information that can be found in biblical narratives.
If scholars, historians and scientists can correctly validate the age of the wall, which will be put through further carbon-dating testing, this would provide an proof that Jerusalem indeed had a strong central government with the a vast amount of resources and manpower to erect the massive fortifications in roughly the 10th century B.C.
Many scholars find this issue very controversial and dispute it because it would accurately match the Bible's record that both Hebrew Kings David and Solomon ruled over the holy land of Jerusalem approximately around that time.
The archaeologist behind the excavation process believes that evidence he uncovered supports the claim while others disagree, believing that David's monarchy was a mythical and legendary one that and no strong government in that era.
With the new evidence discovered by the archaeological dig, scholars now have some support to their hypothesis that in the 10th century B.C a regime existed that was capable of carrying out large scale construction in Jerusalem. The archaeologist who uncovered the ancient fortifications, Eliot Mayar, now believes that the new evidence suggests the was building remains were originally constructed by Solomon, David's son, which are mentioned in the Book of Kings.

Do you believe the discovery is an amazing find, or simply a bunch of rubble that provides no evidence of a once flourishing kingdom?
