Jump Starting A Crawling Economy
GPS Tracking Experts Ask If You Think More Needs To Be Done?
Everyday people on both Main Street and Wall Street awake to see that once again economic data is basically crap. Unemployment claims are up, core durable goods orders are down, the consumer and producer price indexes continue to fall and the housing market still looks in shambles. Although corporate earnings data sparked a short-lived rally in the market a few weeks ago, the increase in revenue is not resulting in more jobs. With people struggling to find work and those who are working putting any disposable income in the bank, very few people care to try and take advantage of the all-time low mortgage rates. This is likely because everyone knows someone who has went bankrupt or lost their home due to an inability to make payments. Nobody wants to get involved in an investment that could have negative ramifications. With the economy growing modestly at best, our tracking system experts would like to ask you if you think that more stimulus is needed to boost the United States economy?
The democratic powers in charge that are led by both Nancy Pelosi and President Obama have continued to state that when they took over the White House that the economy was already in shambles. They state that it was Republicans who increased the deficit and put the economy on the road to ruin. Putting finger pointing aside, Obama and his crew have made attempts to boost the economy by passing a stimulus package, and taking other measures to keep GDP up and unemployment down. However, unemployment has risen to double digits in most states, and the short-term outlook still looks foggy at best. With talks about a double-dip recession dominating headlines, would additional appropriate stimulus help kick start the economy again?
